Consistently Inconsistent: The ADHD CEO’s Paradox
Ever have one of those days where you're networking, making power moves, and slaying left and right in the world of business? Yeah, me too. And boy, do I love those days. Like you, I enjoy diving deep into the beautiful chaos that is called entrepreneurship.
What I cherish the most about this journey is the sense of community and genuine connections I've built. There's something just so magical about connecting with other like-minded women, knowing that they too have similar dreams, goals, and yes, even similar struggles. Because let's face it, community is needed for sustaining success.
However, there's one challenge that I consistently find myself wrestling with. A challenge that, in the spirit of authenticity, I am going to share today- is the chronic struggle of staying consistent with posting and engaging on social media.
Why is it a struggle, you ask? My mind is like a graffiti wall with ideas constantly being sprayed on, but when it is time to settle down and churn out content consistently, let's say my wall often goes blank. And there's nothing more annoying than wanting to connect, wanting to reach out, but finding myself in a staring contest with an empty screen.
Some days, I'm firing on all cylinders, brewing up engaging posts, comments, and messages. On others, it feels like I've entered a "brain fog" episode of a Twilight Zone spin-off. My brain refuses to cooperate, and the blinking cursor on the blank screen starts to look like an annoying fly that won't go away! But I'm sure I'm not the only one dealing with this conundrum.
Now, I'm a believer in quality over quantity. I don’t do fluff and won't post to stay visible. If I serve you content, you better believe it will be fresh, meaningful, and straight from the heart.
With every problem, there should come a solution. So, here's my plan. I will explore various strategies to enhance my consistency - whether it's using a social media scheduler, creating a content calendar, or hiring an assistant.
I'll keep you all updated on my journey. Maybe you'll find my trials, tribulations, and hopefully, triumphs useful in your path to consistency if your brain is anything like mine.
Remember, consistency is not about perfection. It's about showing up, giving our best, and growing daily. If we can do that, we've already won half the battle. Here's to us - the consistently inconsistent women in business!
